The Standard brings stunning city and river views at a reasonable price to the New York hotel market.
Located in the meatpacking district in a building slightly unattractive from the outside, but quite impressive looking from the inside out (every room has a great view), The Standard is an interesting new hotel option in Manhattan.
The rooms are small, but the amazing views create an illusion of space. In addition to 337 rooms and suites the hotel has two restaurants and five bars.
The hotel is the latest creation of boutique-hotelier André Balazs, famous for his Mercer Manhattan, Chateau Marmont Los Angeles and Raleigh Miami hotels. Compared to those, the Standard is a new lower priced concept that already has sister hotels in L.A. and Miami. An even more budget oriented Manhattan hotel concept by André Balazs is the Hotel QT.
Prices for a double starts at $195 per night.
