Today the Czech Republic is celebrating Czech Founding Day, which took place on October 28th, 1918.
The capital Prague has plenty of charm; great architecture, history, culture, dynamic music and arts scene, excellent restaurants and cafes, a vibrant nightlife and a cosmopolitan flair. To further improve the experience, Prague also has warm, friendly, and welcoming locals.
Prague is, however no more the inexpensive bargain it was long time ago in the 1990s following the velvet revolution. But prices are still reasonable. So those with a tight budget could try Budapest, Hungary (slightly less expensive), Bucharest, Romania and Sofia, Bulgaria instead.
The Czech Republic also has a beautiful countryside with interesting small towns and castles.
