The historic Hotel Washington has undergone a through renovation and been transformed into W Washington D.C. It is offering 294 rooms plus 23 suites only a stone’s throw away from the White House.

This old landmark has since 1917 hosted an array of interesting guests from presidents to politicians, celebrities to CEOs, and socialites to superstars. This was where Elvis met with President Nixon in the 1970s, where Harrison Ford bought rounds of drinks for everyone, where Presidents Clinton and Reagan attended balls, where the President’s Thanksgiving turkey trotted on the rooftop before receiving its pardon. Where calls to the White House were connected and “The Godfather Part II” was shot on the storied rooftop.

W Washington will be continuing old traditions in new and improved interiors that combines old details with new design. From the lobby level to the rooftop W offers an array of lounges, bars, restaurants, function rooms and ball rooms. It also has a business center, a fitness center and a spa.

W Washington is part of W Hotels Worldwide which belongs to Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Prices for a double start at about $300 per night.
