Affordable pleasant hotels with a good location are hard to find in Europe, especially in a hotspot like Berlin, Germany.
So The Circus Hotel with 64 rooms that opened a year ago is quite a find. It is located in a central location of Berlin with an interesting neighborhood complete with galleries, boutiques, bars and restaurants. It has plenty of transportation alternatives nearby, the Circus website has detailed instructions how to arrive by public transportation or by car.
The hotel is sparkling clean, nicely designed and well maintained. The rooms have hardwood floors, en-suite bathroom with rain shower, TV, Wi-Fi, phone and a safe.
Circus has a cafe, a restaurant and a bar.
Singles start €68 and doubles at €78, three room apartment at €160 per night.
The company also runs a hostel under the same name but at a separate location. At the hostel you can find a bed at a price as low as €19, but that is of course a different story.
